Grilled Pizza

Grilled Pizza

Skill Level: Easy

Time: 20 minutes

Servings: 2-4

Ingredients

1 Sweet Ali’s Pizza Dough (thawed)
1/2 cup pizza sauce
8oz low-moisture mozzarella cheese*, sliced
~1/2 cup olive oil
Sweet Ali’s Gluten Free Flour for dusting
Optional: your favorite toppings

Directions

  1. Preheat grill to LOW heat.
  2. On a floured surface roll/stretch out the pizza dough to the approximate size and shape of a standard sheet pan.
  3. Lightly flour a sheet pan and transfer rolled out pizza dough to the pan. Using a brush very lightly oil the entire top side of the pizza.
  4. VERY CAREFULLY flip the oiled side of the pizza onto the grill. (Use caution and oven mitts!) Let dough cook for 4 minutes to form crust.
  5. Carefully remove the pizza crust from the grill using spatulas or a pizza board to get it back onto the sheet pan.
  6. Using your oil brush, lightly oil the top of the pizza crust (the part that hasn’t been on the grate yet). Then flip pizza crust over so that the part that was facing the grill in now facing up.
  7. Spread pizza with sauce, then evenly top with cheese and whatever toppings you like. (Refrain from adding too many toppings as this will throw off the cook time)
  8. Carefully slide the pizza back onto the center of the grill. Grill 13-16 minutes or until golden on the bottom, the cheese is melty, and the toppings are cooked.
  9. Carefully remove the pizza from the grill using spatulas or a pizza board to a serving platter. Slice and serve.
