Gluten Free Recipe – Pulled Pork in a Red Sauce
Delicious gluten free recipe for
pulled pork with a spicy chili rub.
Ingredients
Pulled Pork Marinate
- 1 bone in pork shoulder
- 1 cup cider vinegar
- 2 ½ cup water
- 1 cup ketchup
Spicy Chili Rub
- 1 tsp paprika
- 2 tsp ground cumin
- 1 tsp cayenne pepper
- 1 tsp oregano
- 2 tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp salt
Lexinton Red Sauce
- ¼ cup cider vinegar
- ½ cup ketchup
- ½ cup water
- 2 tsp sugar
- ½ tsp salt
- ¼ tsp cayenne pepper
- ¼ tsp pepper
Directions
Wash pork shoulder and pat dry. Apply chili powder rub (combine ingrediencts listed), place in slow cooker, pour in marinate and set for 8 hours. Once pork shoulder is cooked (tender and pulls apart), remove from slow cooker and shred disgarding any fat and marinate. Combine red sauce ingredients in a sauce pan and bring to a low boil. Turn temp to medium low and simmer for 5 minutes. Pour over shredded pork and serve on a gluten-free bun. You can alway use BBQ sauce in place of marinate and red sauce.
