Rally Cookies – Go Blackhawks!
We, the gluten free, know how to rally. We adapt, bounce, morph, adjust, or simply do without.
We at Sweet Ali’s know all about rallying, too. We try to accommodate our customers who come from near and far to visit our bakery. We respond to special requests for brides, moms, and even athletes.
As the parent of two swimmers, I have my own tricks for swim meets. I always, without fail, get my lucky Sweet Ali’s peanut butter and chocolate cookies. Before the big events, I try to eat one cookie for good luck. Now, I don’t know how it works, but I have two kids who have come from behind to make qualifying times. And all from their mom eating a Sweet Ali’s cookie. I’ve experimented … I don’t eat a cookie every time. But, it does seem like when I do, the outcome is more successful than not. Rally cookies!
Most athletes have superstitions or good luck charms to help them win. Baseball teams have their inside-out rally caps. Football players might not change their socks. Hockey players grow their playoffs beards.
Like the Chicago Blackhawks … did you know that for every away game, the Blackhawks enjoy Sweet Ali’s chocolate chip, oatmeal craisin, and peanut butter cookies on their chartered flights? Now, I’m not saying that Sweet Ali’s has everything to do with their appearance in the Stanley Cup Finals, but perhaps we have played some small part. And we at Sweet Ali’s are very pleased and proud to bring a little “rally cookie” luck to their championship season.
Sweet Ali’s is magic, I often say. Gluten free goodness baked with love and careful attention. And maybe even a little bit of luck.
