Bookkeeper / Administrative Assistant
Sweet Ali’s Gluten Free Bakery is a well-respected leader in the competitive retail and wholesale, gluten-free baking business. We are looking for a highly detailed and organized person to join our company as a part-time bookkeeper. The position would also include some personnel responsibilities and light projects.
Duties and Responsibilities:
24 hours per week at our office in Hinsdale (Monday – Friday, flexible hours)
Maintain general ledger
Accounts payable and receivable journal entries
Review bills for accuracy, resolve any discrepancies, and submit payment in timely manner
Reconcile retail transactions between Square Register and QuickBooks
Run monthly QuickBooks reports and review for accuracy
Run receivables reports and follow up with past due accounts
Prepare and record bank deposits
Reconcile bank and credit card statements
Run company payroll in ADP, Excel file and QuickBooks
File state and local sales taxes
Prepare IRS/1099’s documents
Maintain company and personnel records
Qualifications and Skills:
Proficient in QuickBooks, ADP and Microsoft Excel
Highly detailed and accurate
Ability to multi-task
Strong organization and communication skills
Compensation is $20 per hour. We also offer a retirement plan, PTO (paid time off), store discount and flexible scheduling.
