Ky Howard

Ky is Sweet Ali’s ray of sunshine.  As our Baking Supervisor, she rises early to make sure we have fresh-baked bread, cinnamon rolls, and other Sweet Ali’s favorites every morning.  This bride-to-be always has a smiling face and a laughing spirit … Ky bakes joy into every batch!

What is your job at Sweet Ali’s?

I am the Baking Supervisor at Sweet Ali’s.  I make sure everything on the baking side is running smoothly.

What brought you to Sweet Ali’s?  How did you get here?

I was in my last year of pastry school, and I was looking for an internship and came across a sign at school that said Sweet Ali’s was hiring for a support staff position.  I started out as a dishwasher and have worked my way up!

What’s your favorite thing about working at Sweet Ali’s?

My favorite thing about working here is that we have such a great team.  We are all so close that we are like family.  Getting to come to work every morning and work with such great people is a blast.

What’s your favorite place to visit?

My favorite place to visit is a town in southern Illinois called Metropolis.  My mom’s side of the family is from there, so I love going and getting to see how beautiful the country is.  I also enjoy all the southern food!

What’s your favorite food?

My favorite food is mashed potatoes.  I am actually obsessed with them!  I tend to choose what I am eating at a restaurant based on what comes with mashed potatoes as a side.

What is your favorite Sweet Ali’s item?

Our chocolate chip cookies!  They are irresistible!

What’s your one indulgence?

I love anything that has chocolate in it.  I would never be able to turn away a good chocolate chip cookie!

What your favorite Sweet Ali’s music mix?

Either Today’s Hits or the Spice Girls station.  I basically love anything that is upbeat and will keep me awake at 5:00 in the morning!

What’s one thing about you people would be surprised to know?

I am not a morning person even though I am a baker.  Also, when I was growing up I had a three-legged dog named Lucky.
